David Bowie : "Wild Is the Wind"

Το "Wild Is the Wind" είναι ένα τραγούδι που γράφτηκε από τον Dimitri Tiomkin και τον Ned Washington για την ταινία Wild Is the Wind. Ο Johnny Mathis κατέγραψε το τραγούδι για την ταινία και το κυκλοφόρησε ως single τον Νοέμβριο του 1957. Η έκδοση του Mathis έφθασε στον αριθμό 22 στον πίνακα διαφημίσεων. Ήταν υποψήφια για ένα βραβείο Όσκαρ. 

Το τραγούδι έχει καταγραφεί πολλές φορές από πολλούς καλλιτέχνες. Οι πιο γνωστές εκδοχές είναι μία από τη Nina Simone το 1966 και μία από τον David Bowie (κυκλοφόρησε στις 23.01.1976 και ως single το Νοέμβριο του 1981 ως φόρο τιμής στη Simone).
