Μπαίνοντας σιγά-σιγά σε Χριστουγεννιάτικο πνεύμα , ας απολαύσουμε το κλασσικό τραγούδι των Χριστουγέννων από την "Band Aid" ,ένα supergroup φιλανθρωπίας από Βρετανούς και Ιρλανδούς μουσικούς και καλλιτέχνες.Ιδρύθηκε το 1984 από τον Bob Geldof και τον Midge Ure για να συγκεντρώσει τα χρήματα για τις προσπάθειες καταπολέμησης της φτώχειας στην Αιθιοπία με την κυκλοφορία του single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" , για τη χριστουγεννιάτικη αγορά εκείνης της χρονιάς. Στις 25 Νοεμβρίου 1984 το τραγούδι ηχογραφήθηκε στο Sarm West Studios στο Notting Hill, London, και κυκλοφόρησε στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο τέσσερις ημέρες αργότερα. Το single ξεπέρασε τις προσδοκίες των παραγωγών για να γίνει το νούμερο ένα για τα Χριστούγεννα.
